      I have been building models for over 30 years, this has got to be a tool every modeler should have in your tool box, it makes life simple just wish I had known of it years ago. I am impressed. Bending metal etchings can be a difficult procedure, The Bug is almost like having a 3rd hand. I do not know what else I could say.

    • The Bug is an excellent photo etch bending tool
      I recently purchased "The Bug" from Showcase Miniatures and it arrived just days ago. I am amazed at the exceptional high quality of the machining utilized to create the aircraft grade aluminum head and base. The spring-loaded four direction rotating head is strong and precise and I am confident that it will last my lifetime. I model in both 1:87 railroading and 1:700 ships which often have a number of micro-tiny photo etch components. In the past, I have utilized other photo etch tool products that have been less than satisfactory in bending these 1:700 parts. My first use of The Bug was to bend and manipulate the one piece photo etched 1:87 rail-bicycle manufactured by Hauler, Czech Republic. Multi bends in various directions are required to convert the single part into a 3 dimensional model. The Bug with its various fingers made this project a breeze. I highly recommend this tool!
