This 70 ton, three truck Shay kit is based on the West Side Lumber Company #8 and #9 workhorses. Either locomotive can be built from the kit. WS #8 with build #3176 was the first of the large three truck Shays to be operated by West Side. WS #9 with build #3199 followed less than a year later. The multi-media kit is composed of pewter, resin and 3d printed parts. Two extensive photo-etched frets allow you to create a highly detailed operating Nn3 locomotive. The completed kit can be operated with one or two power trucks (available separately on our website). Detailed instructions make building the kit as easy as possible.
