This is an excellent product with clean, crisp detail, requiring little to no cleanup. The question is what type of signals you plan to mount on them. I have Tomar searchlight signals which include a built-in base. It's easy enough to lop the mast collar off these cabinets, and sand down the other base details on the top. It's also easy to expand the hole to accomodate resistors if you already have those attached to your signal wiring (as I did). The tricky part is that the footprint of these cabinets doesn't match the Tomar profile - they're wide enough, but not deep enough. Slicing these in half and splicing in filler styrene to expand them to fit proved doable, but more work than I would have liked. That's not to knock the product, it's excellent. Just beware of this if you're planning to use Tomar signals with bases.
