I was looking for searchlight signals and happened across Showcase. I bought three of the kits (double searchlight) and have put together one of them. It was a bit of a difficult build as I've not built a kit with etched metal, but now that I've got one under my belt, the other two should go together easily. The kit build was quite enjoyable in any event and the results are really excellent, if I do say so myself.

I'm based in the UK starting out on an HO scale shelf layout using parts of Vancouver as a precedent. Bits and pieces needed for the this are nigh impossible to get in the UK and in searches I came across Showcase Miniatures. Just taken delivery of a GRS Searchlight signal, some dwarf signals and a few other details. Magnificent service and a high quality product. The personal service (in contrast to other US based suppliers who didn't even reply to my inquiries) is very reassuring. The items arrived in about a week and everything looks very good.

This has to be one of the nicest looking searchlight signals Ive seen in HO. Like the semaphore kit, be patient and take your time and you will be rewarded with a beautiful model. I love that the head positions are fully customizable! The detail is fantastic and the casting quality is some of the best white metal castings Ive seen. Kit went together with no issues and the instructions are very well done. An absolutely beautiful model.

I think the detail, scale and quality is very good and I plan to buy more. Even though the kit title says "GRS Signal" everything looks just like US&S photos from the late-1940s. I value the ability to construct the signal to match those photos.
