I selected the large electric transformer with the added details because the viewer will be about three inches way from it. I will be using in on a O scale Diorama. and transformers come in all sizes. The diorama is set in 1953, so it seems to be a very good fit. first thing I do is get rid of extra metal on the seem line between the two halves of the mold. Showcase Miniatures casting are so clean I did not have to remove any mold lines. Next I clean then in a ultrasonic cleaner to remove any oils, etc. Once dry I apply a gray primer, then do any detail painting as needed,
