Introduced in the 1960's, this 'old reliable' can still be found in hauling duty today. This kit includes positionable front wheels, a simplified build, stainless steel photo-etched details, 3d printed parts, pewter parts, vacuumformed windshield and Monroe trucking decals in both black and white. Silver Spike Designs contributed the cab design for this kit. Please refer to the the photos for decal placement. A sleeper for the Mack R is sold separately.     • Impressive piece - Mack's Model R
      I thoroughly enjoyed building this model. I liked the paint scheme you showed on the cover so much that I duplicated it. The extra etched metal details were great and the separate etched metal grill really made the grill stand out. You can even read MACK on the hood above the grill! I have several Mack Model Rs that came from Athearn. They are a tad bit smaller than the Showcase model but very close - I don't know which is closer to scale. The Showcase model sure stands out and I am very happy with the product.
